Trout Town Outfitters is your premier destination for affordable, self-guided drift boat and fishing raft rentals on the famous Toccoa River near Blue Ridge, Georgia. Our goal is to provide experienced anglers with lower-cost, DIY fly or spin fishing experiences on the Toccoa River in Fannin County, Georgia.
Chase rainbow, brown and (possibly even) brook trout on Toccoa’s two seven plus-mile tailwater sections from Blue Ridge Dam to the GA/TN line near McCaysville GA. We will meet you at the river and get you fishing sooner!
Our company was designed with the discerning trout bum in mind, allowing you to guide your own fly or spin fishing experience on the Toccoa River in pursuit of good times, great fish and lasting memories. Spend a day on the Toccoa tailwater chasing trout in style. Our handmade drift boat is perfect for anglers and rowers with a bit more experience. It’s low profile and wide bottom make it perfect for wider channels and maintaining a steady ride.
(Recommended for more experienced boaters or folks that want a more comfortable/stable ride)

About the Toccoa
Hailed as one of Trout Unlimited’s 100 Best Trout Streams in America, the Toccoa River flows from south to north from its headwaters near Suches, GA to the Tennessee state line, where it becomes the Ocoee River (also world-renowned for its challenging whitewater).
The Toccoa is stocked with rainbow, brown and brook trout, and also boasts a healthy population of smallmouth bass. The river’s record brown trout was captured in 2021 and weighed a hefty 18+ pounds, while the record rainbow tipped the scales at just over eight and a half pounds.
The Toccoa’s tailwater below Blue Ridge Dam in Fannin County enjoys an abundance of aquatic insects and forage fish, making it a great river for midges, nymphs, dries and streamers. Spin fishermen can also expect hard hits from well-presented spin and swim baits.
