How It Works

Interested in booking a Toccoa drift boat or fishing raft, but unsure of where to start? Let us help you with the process.

  1. Pick Your Date

Select an available day from our booking site - all trips are full day (up to eight hours) on one of the two Toccoa River tailwater sections. Visit our FAQ page for answers to common questions renters have before booking a trip.

2. Choose Your Boat

There are two boat options available for booking with Trout Town Outfitters - Drift Boat Rental or Fishing Raft rental. (We recommend fishing rafts for newer paddlers and drift boats for those with a little more experience.)

3. Select Your River Section

Two Toccoa River tailwater sections are available. Section One (Tammen Park near Blue Ridge Dam to Curtis Switch Road) and Section Two (Curtis Switch Road to McCaysville City Park). Section One has a few more shallow stretches than Section Two, however the water will be much colder with more fish.

4. Meet Your Boat At The River

We’ll get in touch the day before your trip to confirm timing and logistics, then we will meet you at the ramp on the morning of your float.

5. We’ll Pick You Up

We will pick you and your rental boat up at the end of your float, and can provide a shuttle back to your vehicle.
